The Illusion Of Conscious Will

A very interesting book that investigates the Sense of agency both in lab experiments where subjects are forced to take some action and misattribute it to their own intention, and also studies of hypnosis and religious trance. Whether this means that free will is not real will remain a philosophical puzzle, but there is some good evidence that cognitively, determining whether you caused something or you intended something is a complex error-prone process.
