Stephen Pinker

Steven Arthur Pinker (born September 18, 1954) is a Canadian-American experimental psychologist, cognitive scientist, linguist and popular science author. He is an important figure in Evolutionary Psychology. He largely follows the 1990's consensus from the first wave of evolutionary psychology, which we feel gives insufficient emphasis to Cultural Evolution and the likelyhood that Genetic-Cultural Coevolution resulted in significant genetic change in the past 10,000 years.

He is an articulate commentator on scientific theories of the mind and the human condition, and author of books: The Blank Slate and The Better Angels of Our Nature.
